hot & bored.

it was a very last min decision to meet ed and hui for dessert at Shokudo yesterday afternoon. the day was crawling so slowly, and i hate to stay at home, so we decided to hit City Hall. ever since our first experience at Shokudo, we’ve been itching for more trips there. so yesterday was the 2nd, we did not try anything else other than their ice-cream and omelette, which i don’t mind going back again for more.
the ice-cream certainly did a good job at soothing our body in this terribly hot weather. and the omelette’s role was to wet our appetite for more food, as we went next to Waraku for other dinner.
tsk tsk. such indulgence.
after that, ed went for his gym session. me and hui went to check out Balaclava at Suntec. actually it’s me who wanted to go because Unxpected plays there too, with my new idol Joan Chew frequently playing there. from what i heard from Shirlyn that is. in the end, i didnt know u need to be 25 to enter the premise, and u must be appropriately dressed. hmm. 25. ha! that’s still a long time to go before i hit 25 isnt it? ha!
so no booze, no music, we went home. there was actually an outing to Chijmes to catch the Champions League final between Man U and Chelsea. but due to a terrible attendence, it was canceled and we will be organising another outing, this time to Sentosa. well, we shall see when.
so i came home and looked in the net, hoping to find live streaming for ESPN. if i cant find any, i have to end up at kopithiam to watch the match, just like a typical uncle will do which i don’t like. i had laid a wager on Man U to win it so i’m eager to be able to watch it live. luckily, i managed to find a source and ha!, i was up till 6am to watch this finale. and boy it was full of dramatic moments as many a times, Chelsea players saw their effort hitting the crossbars. they were also a bunch of losers and dirty players as they tried bringing Man U players down with rash tackles and high-flying elbows. the score was tied at the end of 90 mins, as well as after extra time, so it’s down to penalties. when ron missed his, i thought it’s over. john terry, captain of the Blues was up to take the “match-point” spot-kick. i couldnt bear to look into my monitor, and only cheers of fans and commentators gave me the courage to open my eyes. terry had slipped and missed his shot! OMG! a lifeline for Man U! anderson and giggs had slotted the ball home nicely, and next up, if anelka were to miss it, he wld have handed the trophy to Man U. he stepped up, paused a second, and hit it towards his left. Van Der Sar seem to have read his mind and dived the right direction to punch the ball away!! everybody dressed in red went rushing towards their goalie, whom was the main reason for their success this season.
he was the reason why i became richer too. =)
i’m like so bored nowadays. it’s not like i do not want to work, but i cant find one! i thot i wld be able to work at my sis’s office, when she called me yesterday and said it’s still pending and if i were to find another offer, go ahead. well, it certainly meant that there werent high hopes of working for her isnt it? =(
now, GSS is coming. and i’m gonna be broke and jobless. results are gonna be released soon, and i certainly hope it can offer some condolenses to my current plight. ha! i was thinking about my Law paper, and i really regretted and thought i could have did it better. OH WELL! it’s over and my prediction of getting a Credit for the paper looks like is coming true.
at least, the weather is good nowadays.
ya rite.
